To convince consumers of the benefits of carpet and to show how creatively carpet can be used in the home.
WHO CAN ENTER?
Journalists, stylists and photographers employed or commissioned by Regional and National Press; home interest magazines and other glossies who feature carpet in interior design articles which appear in print.
Articles much feature carpet in an innovative way and photography and text should illustrate and refer to the creative ways in which carpet can transform an interior scheme.
THE CARPET FOUNDATION
This is the newly formed body founded by the top UK manufacturers who jointly produce over half the carpet made in the UK, and whose objective is to promote the generic benefits of carpet to UK consumers.

HOW TO ENTER
Entries can be made directly by journalists, stylists or photographers or nominations can be made by third parties. An entry form is attached and further copies are available from The Carpet Foundation.
Details of the competition entry date and winner's notification date are listed in the attached covering letter. The Carpet Foundation may select articles for entry to the award scheme.

The Carpet Foundation is sponsoring the event with a �3000 top prize which may be shared between contributors. Other awards will be made at an Awards Evening in London in June.
The panel of judges will meet in early June to decide upon the winners.
