Promoting carpet in the media
One of our key roles at the Carpet Foundation is to ‘promote carpets’ and keep them front of mind with consumers. To do this we work closely with the very influential home interest media. These magazines are bought and read by women who are interested in their homes - the target audience for the carpet industry. These women may not read ‘What Car’ or ‘Golfing World’ (although some, of course, will) but they do read home interest magazines to get inspiration for their home. That is why we court the journalists who produce these magazines. We are known as the ‘one stop shop’ for carpet in the media and are always happy to provide a quote, supply carpet and photography. We are only eight days in to January but already this year we have supplied a quote for Style at Home, a carpet to Ideal Home and the country’s leading ‘woman’s’ magazine, Good Housekeeping is about to shoot a big feature on carpet. Not a bad first eight days in January!
