The UK is falling back in love with carpet

The UK is falling back in love with carpet! We always sing the praises of carpet and our retail members, but we and they have received ringing endorsement from no less a respected source than The Sunday Times.

The Home section ran a two page feature on carpet under the title of ‘Why we’re falling back in love with carpet’. It featured interviews with industry authorities from Fludes retailer and Cormar Carpets, and cited the Carpet Foundation as the font of all knowledge - and our retailers as the people to buy carpet from. Particular mention, for peace of mind, was made of the Code of Practice under which they all operate.

Publicity of this kind is unprecedented for the UK carpet industry. It is also satisfying for us at the Carpet Foundation to be recognised as independent and ‘the authority’ on all carpet matters.

The message then is clear - carpet is top of the pile when it comes to flooring. Furthermore, if you are buying carpet, you are in safe hands with the Carpet Foundation. Indeed, we should be your first port of call!
